Terms and conditions
These terms cover the Salua AI marketing site, the shop dashboard and client booking pages. Salua AI is operated by Dillon Prasad, doing business as Salua AI, a sole proprietorship in Maryland, United States.
1. Agreement
By using salua.ai, app.salua.ai or book.salua.ai you agree to these terms. If you use Salua on behalf of a shop, you agree to them for yourself and on behalf of that shop.
2. The service
Salua is software for booking, reminders, phone and SMS handling, shop tools and related payments. Which features you get depends on your plan. We may change or discontinue features, and we will give notice when we are able to.
3. Accounts
You need to give accurate account information and keep your login credentials safe. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
4. Shop data and clients
Your shop records are yours. You grant Salua a license to host and process them so that we can run the service for you.
You confirm that you have the right to upload your client contacts and to text or call them. You are also responsible for how your staff use the service.
5. Client bookings
When a client books a shop through Salua, the appointment is with that shop, not with Salua. The shop sets its own services, prices and policies, including cancellation and deposit rules. Pay-at-shop totals are charged by the shop, unless a deposit is taken through Stripe.
6. Payments and subscriptions
Subscription fees are billed through Stripe as shown at checkout for the plan you pick, such as Front Desk, Full Book or Command Chair. Taxes may apply. You authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
Card processing for shop deposits also runs through Stripe, and card rates are Stripe's. Salua may take a small fee on deposits where that fee is disclosed in the product. Refunds of shop deposits are worked out with the shop and Stripe; they are not a cash promise from Salua.
7. Acceptable use
Do not abuse the service, scrape it in ways that harm it, send unlawful messages through it, or try to break into it or into other accounts. We may suspend accounts that do.
8. Text messages and calls
You are responsible for complying with telecom and consent rules for the messages and calls you send through Salua. Recipients must be able to opt out.
Reminder texts are opt-in. Your booking page gives clients an optional box, unchecked by default, to ask for appointment reminders and booking updates when they enter a mobile number. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of using Salua or of completing a booking, and the box must stay optional and unchecked — do not pre-check it or require a client to accept texts in order to book.
Message frequency varies: normally a confirmation plus reminders around each appointment. Message and data rates may apply, for you and for your clients.
Clients can reply STOP to any message to stop texts, HELP for help, or START to opt back in. We honor those replies automatically, and you should not text a client who has replied STOP.
Mobile numbers collected through Salua are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and you agree not to use Salua's messaging for anyone else's marketing either.
9. Intellectual property
The Salua name, product and site are ours. Your content stays yours.
10. Availability
We aim to keep the service working. We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, and we do not guarantee that every open slot will fill.
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that it will meet every shop's needs, and we cannot guarantee that carriers will deliver every text or call.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent Maryland law allows, Salua's total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim, or $100 if you paid us nothing. We are not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnity
Shops will defend and hold Dillon Prasad d/b/a Salua AI harmless from claims arising out of their use of the service, their communications with their clients, or their own shop policies.
14. Termination
You can stop using the service at any time and cancel a subscription through Stripe or your account tools. We may terminate an account for breach of these terms or to comply with the law. We may delete data after a reasonable wind-down period.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, USA, and disputes belong in the courts of Maryland, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
16. Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page.
