Privacy policy
This page explains what information Salua AI collects, why we have it, and who we share it with. It is written to be read, not to be impressive.
1. Who we are
Salua AI is operated by Dillon Prasad, doing business as Salua AI, a sole proprietorship in Maryland, United States.
Salua is booking software for barbershops, nail studios, tattoo shops and similar local shops. Shops use it to answer the phone, take bookings, send reminders, run a calendar and take payments.
2. Scope
This policy covers our marketing site at salua.ai, the shop dashboard at app.salua.ai, client booking pages at book.salua.ai, and the related booking, SMS and phone features.
3. Information we collect
Shop accounts
When a shop signs up we collect the owner or manager's name, the shop name, contact details, login credentials, the plan they are on, and the shop's locations, hours, staff and services.
Client records
Shops enter client information, and clients type their own details into a booking page. This can include a name, mobile number, appointment details, optional notes the shop or client adds, and whether the client asked for a text reminder.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive limited billing metadata such as the last four digits of a card, a payment status and a Stripe customer identifier. We do not store full card numbers.
Communications
We handle the texts and calls made through Salua, including appointment reminders, confirmations and phone AI calls. If you send us a message through the form on our website, we receive your name, email or phone number and whatever you write in the note.
Technical information
Our servers keep standard logs — IP address, user agent and timestamps — which we need to operate and secure the site.
4. How we use it
- To provide the product and keep a shop's calendar, clients and services working.
- To send the booking confirmations and reminders a client or shop asked for.
- To process payments and subscriptions.
- To support shops when they contact us.
- To keep the service secure and to fix and improve it.
5. Text messages
A client can opt in to appointment reminders and booking updates from Salua by checking an optional box on the shop's booking page when they enter a mobile number. The box is unchecked by default, so texts only start if the client checks it. Consent is not required to complete a booking — leaving the box unchecked still books the appointment. A reviewer-visible copy of that box is at /sms-opt-in.
Message frequency varies. It is usually a confirmation when the booking is made plus a reminder or two around each appointment, so it depends on how often a client books. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out, HELP for help, or START to opt back in.
Mobile numbers are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We use messaging providers only to deliver the texts a client asked for.
Shops are responsible for having permission to text their own clients. To stop texts from a shop, reply STOP to a message or contact the shop directly.
6. Who we share it with
- Service providers who run the product for us: Stripe for payments, Amazon Web Services for hosting, and carriers or messaging providers that deliver SMS and voice traffic.
- The shop a client booked with. That shop is the business the client has the appointment with, and it sees the booking.
- Legal requests. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share mobile numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
7. Shops' responsibility
Shops decide what client data they put into Salua, and they are responsible for handling that data lawfully. Salua processes it in order to provide the service to the shop.
8. How long we keep it
We keep account and appointment data while a shop uses Salua and for a reasonable period afterwards, unless someone asks us to delete it sooner and we are able to honor that request.
9. Your choices
Shops can edit or delete clients and appointments inside the product. Clients should contact the shop they booked with, since the shop holds the appointment. Clients can also reach us using the contact form on salua.ai to access, correct or delete information we hold.
10. Children
Salua is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot promise otherwise.
12. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update this page and change the effective date at the top.
13. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, use the contact form on salua.ai.
